Management Team

BoxSentry's global management team has extensive international business experience, deep technology skills, with a strong focus on email, messaging and security.

Manish Goel, CEO

Manish Goel has more than 15 years' experience in the software and services sectors. Prior to joining BoxSentry, Manish was a Partner of Greenoak Capital Partners, a private equity firm specialising in technology sector investments. Previously, he was a Director with PWC Venture Partners, PricewaterhouseCoopers’ London-based technology investment group, where he led the Investment Selection team. His earlier career focused on strategy and M&A consulting across Asia and Europe within the Financial Services and Technology sectors.

Manish holds degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of NSW (Australia) and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors, United Kingdom.

Dr. Arapaut V Sivaprasad, Executive Director, Research & Development

Dr. Sivaprasad ("Siva") has more than 27 years' experience in the development of innovative technology solutions, spanning commercial and scientific applications. Siva’s entrepreneurial career began in the field of molecular biology, creating programs to analyse  DNA sequences to detect hidden features in genes. Prior to co-founding BoxSentry, Siva founded "WebGenie Software", a provider of enterprise ecommerce applications and "SearchHound", a pay-per-click search engine.

Siva has a B.Sc. (Agric.) from Kerala Agricultural University, India, a M.Sc. (Genetics) from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India and a Ph.D. (Molecular Biology) from University of Adelaide, Australia. He was elected as a member of the New York Academy of Sciences in 1994.

Steve Allam, Chief Technology Officer

Steve has over 18 years experience in the technology and communication sectors. He has delivered leading-edge messaging systems and led the design and development of large-scale, global communication platforms.

Prior to joining BoxSentry, Steve founded Imhotek, a provider of innovative technology solutions to enterprise and government organisations in the EMEA, including British Gas, BT, Vodafone and Inmarsat. Steve previously worked for Digital’s (DEC) messaging team delivering work-group productivity solutions.

Steve has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from the University of Kent, Canterbury (UK).

Olavs Ritenis, Vice-President, Business Development & Strategic Alliances

Olavs Ritenis has 30 years of international business experience in the technology sector.

He is an accomplished entrepreneur, having founded and served as CEO of his own software and consulting services businesses (Software Distribution International and SDI Asia Group in Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong; Communication Solutions International, and Ventures Technologies) for 20 years.

Other senior management roles have included sales, marketing, and business development responsibilities for various international IT and Communications firms. Olavs has successfully introduced new technology products and services into the Australian and Asian markets for US and European vendors, as well as having established channel partner and distribution networks throughout the Asia Pacific region. Technology companies that Olavs has been associated with during his career include Burroughs, GE Information Services, Verimation, Soft.Switch, Critical Path, Callidus Software, FaceTime, and Sendmail.

Enterprise solution specialization gained over the years includes many aspects of Messaging and Collaboration (Enterprise Email, Unified Messaging, Wireless, Directories, Mobile Applications, Internet Messaging, Email Security), and EIM (Enterprise Incentive Management).

Olavs holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Sydney (Australia).

Robert Naqvi, Vice President, Operations

Robert has over 20 years business technology experience and has worked within all main disciplines, including Data Management, Technical and Security Services, and Operations Services.

His extensive senior management responsibilities have included responsibility for large IT departments that have provided mission-critical Customer Service functions for a major Utility in the United Kingdom.

Robert has had responsibility for over 100 Customer focused staff, and implemented a number of Customer Support initiatives, including a 24 X 7 Customer Help Desk, and the implementation of business continuity programmes whilst working with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

Robert holds an Master of Science degree in Information Systems Design and Management.

Monty Venkersammy , Vice-President of Global Sales

Monty has over 20 years of technical sales, business development and management experience in the selling to large Enterprise and Internet organizations. He has a strong track record developing strategic business relationships and highly effective sales teams.

Most recently, he was Vice President of Sales and Business Development which was acquired by Trendmicro(NASDAQ:TMIC) in 2005. He was instrumental in making the acquisition a success. Mail-Abuse Prevention System (MAPS)/Kelkea was the first RBL(Realtime Blackhole List). Monty was instrumental in launching Kelkea as the first “Reputation Company” in 2004. His customers included Yahoo, AOL, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Roadrunner, Bell Canada, SBC and many large enterprise including EDS, HP and Microsoft. At Trendmicro, he trained the sales organization worldwide in selling Reputation System “In the cloud” service. He oversaw the Asia Pacific region, where he worked with the largest ISPs and Enterprise customers, including NAB Bank, Australia, Telstra, VSLN, China Netcom, PCCW, Hong Kong Broadband and various country Managers in China, India, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan and Indonesia.

Monty was the CEO and co-founder of Webvision, Inc, which raise $75 Million dollars in 1996. He also founded Above Commerce (formerly FrontierStore), two highly successful e-commerce start-ups in 1999. Monty also helped launch Indiaplaza.com, one of the first Indian portal sites, which was later acquired by Satyam Infoway (NASDAQ:Sify).

During his 20-year career, Monty started his career with IBM and Merrill Lynch in New York City. He has held positions of responsibility and consulted for companies such as Infosys, IBM, Synoptics, BBN Planet and Proteon. Monty studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Polytechnic Institute of New York and Pace University.

Monty was on the United States Cricket team to the ICC World Cup in Kenya 1992.

Roland Turner, Product Manager, Realmail

Roland is BoxSentry's Product Manager for RealMail.

He has 18 years' I.T. experience which spans Australia, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom. He has a background in network engineering and software development; focusing on Internet service provision, film/video post-production and e-Commerce for companies including IBM, Discreet (an Autodesk subsidiary) and Genuity (a Verizon company).

Prior to joining BoxSentry he was CTO for Countersnipe, a network security firm, where he led the development of their flagship network intrusion prevention system. As an Internet Systems Engineer at Genuity he devised solutions and infrastructure for complex hosting requirements. At Discreet, he pioneered the use of the Internet, the web and Linux as components of their post-production systems. Prior to the commercial availability of Internet access in Australia in the early 1990s, he worked to establish the Sydney chapter of the non-profit Internet access co-op APANA and, shortly thereafter, built the technical infrastructure for a local commercial ISP.

Roland holds a First Class Honours Degree in Computer Science from the University of Technology, Sydney.
